What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website on your device. Websites may use them to maintain a session, remember preferences, understand usage, protect services, or support advertising.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, software development kits, and other identifiers. References to cookies in this policy include comparable browser technologies where relevant.
What this site currently uses
This institutional website is delivered as an informational site and does not provide user accounts, authenticated sessions, or personalised advertising. It measures aggregate traffic, and does so without cookies — see section 03.
Website analytics without cookies
We measure how the website is used so we can tell which pages are worth keeping and improving. This is done with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that Vinova Lab runs on its own infrastructure. The measurement data is not sent to an advertising network, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties.
The measurement is deliberately limited to what an aggregate readership report needs:
Repeat visits within the same day are counted once using a value calculated from technical request data together with a secret that is replaced every day. Once it is replaced, visits from the previous day can no longer be connected to visits from the current one. This is a deliberate limitation: it makes counting possible while making tracking a person over time impossible.
Infrastructure information
Hosting, network, and security infrastructure may process technical request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser information, and security events. Server logs are not cookies and are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
An infrastructure provider may use technical mechanisms strictly required to route traffic, maintain security, or deliver the website. These mechanisms are not used by Vinova Lab for advertising or behavioural profiling.
Why there is still no cookie banner
A consent banner exists to ask permission before a website stores information on your device or reads information already there. This website does neither: the analytics described in section 03 place no cookie, write nothing to browser storage, and read nothing from your device. There is therefore nothing to ask permission for, and no banner is shown.
This is a choice, not an oversight. Measurement that requires consent produces incomplete figures and an interruption on every first visit; measurement that cannot identify anyone needs neither.
If cookies, advertising, profiling, or any technology that stores or reads information on your device are introduced, Vinova Lab will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before using them.
External websites
This website links to the Vinova Lab Blueprint, rAInty, and other external destinations. Those sites and products may use cookies or browser storage for their own functionality and publish separate policies.
Leaving vinovalab.ai means the cookie practices of the destination apply. For example, authenticated products may require strictly necessary session or security storage even though the corporate website does not.
Browser controls
Browsers generally allow you to inspect, delete, or block cookies and site storage. Blocking strictly necessary technologies on another Vinova Lab product may prevent authentication or other core functionality from working correctly.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the website begins using additional cookies or similar technologies. The effective date above identifies the current version.
