Vinova PII

Extracts the text from PDF, Word, Markdown and plain-text files, replaces personal data with placeholders and produces clean Markdown. Everything happens on your computer: no document ever leaves it.

Vinova PII prepares documents for sharing, archiving or use with AI tools by removing the personal data they contain. Names, addresses, identifiers, contact details and other sensitive values are detected and replaced with placeholders, so the text keeps its meaning while the people in it can no longer be identified.

The application runs entirely on your machine. Documents are opened, analysed and anonymised locally; no document is uploaded, and the result is a Markdown file you can review before using it anywhere else.

  • Stays on your computer. Extraction and anonymisation run locally. No document is ever sent to a server.
  • Common formats. Opens PDF, Word (.docx), Markdown and plain text, and exports Markdown.
  • Typed placeholders. Personal data is replaced with placeholders that say what was removed, so the text keeps its structure and meaning.
  • Review before saving. The original and the anonymised version are shown side by side; replacements can be added, removed or changed before saving.

Check what you downloaded.

Each installer is published with its SHA-256 digest, shown above and available as a .sha256 file next to it. Compare it with the digest of the file you downloaded:
